- Raccoons are called “trash pandas” for a reason and you should help them out of the trash if they’re stuck.
- Death is imminent and it’s worse for the families who live through it.
- Watching your grandmother die will make you feel the most helpless you’ve ever felt.
- Having to tell someone over and over they’re dying is the worst thing you’ll ever have to do.
- Family and friends are more important than amateur bike racing.
- Pain is relative, but it’s also really fucking personal.
- Finding a job where you can be yourself is more important than one with a fancy title.
- Helping people that have drifted out of your life will re-establish a lost connection.
- You have to work (and make time) to make new and keep friends.
- Communication is the most difficult with people you’re closest to.
- You won’t gain weight taking 5 ½ weeks off the bike as long as you move around and eat in moderation, but it will bring a sense of calm.
- You’re your only advocate.
- The best things for your health aren’t always going to be what you want or like.
- If you don’t practice, you’ll forget.
